About this field

As the Jewish homeland, Israel boasts the largest Jewish population in the world. Our Israel-based staff are reaching Jewish people through rehab ministries, art therapy, sports ministry, and by planting and leading messianic congregations. Many Life in Messiah staff who are based in other countries frequently travel to Israel to volunteer and share the gospel with Israelis. Life in Messiah also leads two short-term trips to Israel: YES! Israel (focused on outreach and discipleship) and God’s Work in God’s Land (to gain a heart and understanding for the people, the Land, and the work there).

Pray for this ministry

  • Since the outbreak of war in 2023, the Lord has opened many doors for our staff to respond to physical and spiritual needs in Israel. Pray God will continue to bless Israelis through our ministry and for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).

  • Pray for the rehab work among men and women, that they may find freedom from addiction. Pray that through this ministry, they will recognize God as their Savior.

  • Pray for kingdom impact through art therapy, especially as many are dealing with trauma from the war.

  • Pray for divine appointments and safety through sport ministries.

  • Pray for the church plants to grow in the Lord and to shine brightly in their communities.

  • For Life in Messiah staff, short-term teams, and volunteers who travel to Israel, pray for safety and opportunities to reach many with the Good News.

  • Many believers desire to travel to Israel to see where Jesus walked. Pray for those who join us on short-term trips to gain a heart and passion for Jewish ministry.

  • Consider partnering with Life in Messiah’s projects: Aviv Ministry and Rescue in Israel or by supporting individual workers in Israel.

  • Pray for Israel as a country and consider giving toward war relief work in Israel.

  • For more workers for the harvest, and more volunteers to join on short-term trips to Israel.

Aviv Ministry

Aviv Ministry is a project of Life in Messiah, working since 2005 in south Tel Aviv, Israel helping street addicts, alcoholics and prostitutes meet basic needs. Our main purpose is to help these people get fully restored, return to normal life and their families, become a blessing to others and bring good fruit. We know that only the Lord Jesus can really make all these changes in their lives so we actively preach the gospel at our day center in Tel Aviv.

Rescue in Israel

Rescue in Israel is a project of Life in Messiah. Our work in Israel is to bring help and hope to the homeless and those in need in the Land. Our shelter welcomes men from the street and provides them with a safe environment where they hear the Word of God, find freedom from addictions, and learn how to build a new life. We are in the process of developing a women’s shelter to accomplish the same thing.
