Understand Israel’s Spiritual Need

God’s Work in God’s Land is much more than a trip to Israel. You'll not only see the famous biblical sites, you’ll also meet Israeli believers and learn about ministry in Israel. Venture off the typical tourist paths to see, learn, and worship in the Land!

Attend an Israeli congregation and meet Israeli believers, visit Life in Messiah staff serving in ministry, and learn about the challenges of following Messiah in the Middle East. This lifechanging experience will give you priceless insights into Israel’s need for the gospel.

  • Day 1 – USA to Tel Aviv, Israel

    Dress comfortably for you flight to Tel Aviv, Israel.

    Day 2 – Beeresheva, Negev, Sde Boker, Makhtesh Ramon

    Visit Abraham’s Well and modern Beersheva, once the southernmost border of the Israelite Kingdom. See the Negev Desert where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob tended their flocks. At Sde Boker visit the gravesite of Israel’s first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, and discover Makhtesh Ramon, Israel’s Grand Canyon. Finish the day by sharing a meal with local believers in Eilat.

    Day 3 – Tabernacle in the Wilderness, Eilat, Shelter Bible Study

    Spend the day swimming or snorkeling in the Red Sea after a visit to the Tabernacle in the Wilderness. Attend an evening Bible study at the Shelter, a Christian youth hostel ministering to international visitors.

    Day 4 – Eilat Congregation, Dead Sea

    Worship with Israeli believers at an Eilat congregation, then travel through the Rift Valley and float in the Dead Sea. Enjoy dinner with local believers in Arad.

    Day 5 – Masada and Ein Gedi

    Ride a cable car to the mountaintop fortress of Masada, where you’ll see amazing excavations, enjoy the panoramic view, and learn Masada’s history. Next, visit the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, the oasis where David once hid from King Saul. Additional stops include the Qumran Caves, Bethany, the Mount of Olives, and the Garden of Gethsemane. Settle in to Jerusalem for a three-night stay.

    Day 6 – Modern Jerusalem

    See the Knesset (Israel’s parliament), Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Memorial), the Shrine of the Book (Dead Sea Scrolls), and a model of Jerusalem. Take communion in the Garden Tomb.

    Day 7 – Old City Jerusalem

    Climb the Southern Steps where Jesus entered the Temple. Visit the Temple Mount and pray for the peace of Jerusalem at the Western Wall. You’ll also explore the Western Wall tunnel, the Temple Mount Institute, the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Cardo, David’s Citadel, and the Via Dolorosa within the Old City. End the day with a walking tour atop the Old City walls.

    Day 8 – Beth Shean, Nazareth, Jezreel Valley

    Say goodbye to Jerusalem and head to the Jordan Valley. Travel past Jericho to the ancient ruins of Beth Shean to Nazareth where Jesus taught. Before dinner with a local pastor, view Mount Tabor and walk the top of Arbel.

    Day 9 – Galilee Area

    Explore the scenes of the gospels in Capernaum, Bethsaida, Banias Nature Preserve (Caesarea Philippi), and Tel Dan. Visit the Kibbutz Ginosar museum to see the Jesus Boat, a 1st Century fishing boat recovered from the Sea of Galilee.

    Day 10 – Caesarea by the Sea, Carmel, Haifa, Megiddo

    See 20 levels of civilization unearthed in Megiddo, the prophesied site where the armies will gather fo the Battle of Armageddon. Stop by Mount Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal, visit Caesarea and the Roman amphitheater and aqueduct, and end the day in Tel Aviv.

    Day 11 – Tel Aviv Congregation; fly home

    Attend a Shabbat service with Israeli believers and serve at a local ministry to homeless people before driving to Ben Gurion Airport. Fly home with new stories to tell!
